Every day in Uganda, more than 14 lives are lost to road crashes. Nearly half of these deaths involve boda-boda riders and their passengers. It’s a crisis we can’t ignore—and we won’t.
About the Boda-Boda Walk
We’re walking to boda-boda riders, with them, and for them across major stages in Kampala to spark real conversations and lasting change on our roads.
Why Boda-Boda Riders?
Because they’re not the problem. They’re the key to the solution. Boda-boda riders are the most affected by Uganda’s road safety crisis, and it’s time we empower them as leaders of change.
Date : 5th July, 2025

The Route
We’ll walk 21KM through the heart of Kampala, stopping at key stages to talk, listen, and learn:
– Nakawa Market Area
– Ntinda
– Nankulabye
– …and every boda stage we pass along the way.
At each stop, we’ll hold 30 to 60-minute sensitization sessions, showing real, practical road safety behaviors not just talk, but action.
